How is the exact age calculated?
The age is worked out in complete years, months and days between the birth date and the reference date (today by default). Change the reference date to see the age someone will have, or had, on a given day.
The tool also shows the total number of days lived, the weekday of birth and the number of days until the next birthday. For a February 29 birth, the birthday falls on March 1 in non-leap years.
The calculation runs entirely in your browser: the birth date you enter is neither sent nor stored.
