Privacy policy

EventCompletion is published by Stanleon (https://stanleon.cc). This page explains, in plain words, which data we process and why. Contact: contact@eventcompletion.com.

The data we process

• The events you create: name, dates, description, image and language. These pages are public: do not put personal data in them.
• An anti-spam fingerprint: when you create an event we store a one-way hash of your IP address to limit abuse. The IP address itself is not kept.
• “I’m going”: a random identifier stored in your browser and hashed on our server is only used to count one participation per browser. It is not linked to any identity.
• Email reminders (optional): your email address, used only for the reminders of the event you chose, after you confirm it by email.
• The Premium waitlist: your email address and the language of the page, to tell you when Premium launches.
• Error reports: the message and your email address if you provide one.
• Audience measurement: we use Google Analytics (page views, device type, approximate country).
• Storage in your browser: an “ec_lang” cookie (your language choice, 1 year), local data “ec_visitor” and “ec_going_…” (participations) and your theme preference.
• Technical logs from our host (Cloudflare), needed for security and to run the site.

Why, and on what basis

• To provide and protect the service against abuse (legitimate interest): events, anti-spam fingerprint, technical logs.
• To send you reminders or the Premium launch message: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To understand how the site is used: audience measurement.

Who receives the data

We do not sell any data. Our technical providers are Cloudflare (hosting, database, email delivery from mail.eventcompletion.com) and Google (Analytics). We only send email for reminders you confirmed, the Premium launch if you signed up, and replies to your messages.

How long we keep it

• Events: as long as the page exists.
• Email address of an unconfirmed reminder: deleted after 7 days.
• Email address of a confirmed reminder: deleted 30 days after the event ends, or as soon as you unsubscribe (link in every email). Your participation stays counted, without any address.
• Premium waitlist: until launch, or until you ask for deletion.
• Reports: for the time needed to handle your request.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to its processing or withdraw your consent by writing to contact@eventcompletion.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
